When I say “The Moody Blues” your first thought probably isn’t an image of the band rocking their asses off. Therefore, this video for “I’m Just a Singer (In a Rock and Roll Band)” may surprise and delight you a little bit.
“I’m Just a Singer (In a Rock and Roll Band),” written by the group’s John Lodge, appeared on the 1972 L.P., Seventh Sojourn, and hit #12 on the US Billboard Hot 100 and #36 on the UK Singles Charts. The song was released in January of 1973 and was the band’s last Moody Blues single until 1978.
